Hugh Laurie Sad to See Lisa Edelstein Leave His ‘House’
‘It is a desperately sad thing for me and for everyone on the House set obviously, not to have Lisa here, she is an unbelievably… she is a stunning actress and incredibly good company as well. So we will miss her very very much indeed. But at the same time we wish her well and unsurprisingly she was snapped up within minutes by the green bay packers I think, took her. And we wish her well you know. And that’s great because she is so astonishingly good, I have long maintained that Lisa Edelstein does the work of 3 or 4 actresses, that she is able to combine so many… She can be you know the funny one, and the dramatic one and the powerful one and the sexy one and she can do all these things, she has all these cards in her hand. And we will miss her… But we wish her well’.

Lisa is an absolute joy. There was a show—I can’t name it—that won an award. They all got up onstage and waved to the crowd and I was looking at these women [and thought], Oh, I see what you have done here. You’ve got the beautiful glamorous one, the kooky funny one, the downtrodden miserable one, and I was thinking that Lisa Edelstein does all of that. It takes all those of you to do what she is doing every week and people are giving you the award. It’s so unfair.
